Elspeth has been at the University of Dundee since 1996 when she enrolled for a PhD based in Town and Regional Planning. The subject of her thesis was 'An exploration of the Sustainability of Community Enterprises in Fife'. While based in the department she undertook some teaching and aided staff on research projects. From 1999 until 2014 she worked part-time in Town and Regional Planning as Academic Programme Manager. This involved the administration of a post-graduate distance learning programme in Local and Regional Economic Development.
In August 2012 Elspeth started working part-time on the FiCTION Clinical Trial as Clinical Leads Secretary for the Scottish Centre based in the Dental School. In April 2014 Elspeth started in the full-time role of Taught Postgraduate Administrator managing the taught postgraduate programmes in the Dental School.
Currently she is the Internationalisation/Taught postgraduate Admin lead in the Dental School.
