With a back ground in both hospital and academic dentistry, initially in oral surgery and oral medicine, this provided a firm foundation for involvement in a career in dental and maxillofacial radiology. Although I have been in an NHS post for a number of years now, I am actively involved in teaching both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. I am also the NHS clinical manager for hospital dentistry which has proved both exciting and challenging.
Not an active researcher but has provided support and advice to many researchers where radiology is involved in any way.
Responsible for the delivery of teaching in dental and maxillofacial radiology for many years, both to the BDS undergraduates and the student therapists. Has developed a team of radiographers and radiologists to expand this teaching which includes lectures, small group teaching and practical radiography.
Has also been involved in providing Section 63 courses for all members of the dental team for many years, essential teaching for compliance with IRMER and GDC core competencies.
